Biography
Monica Vella-Angelastro received her Doctoral degree from Yale University in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) in 2004, and since then, has held several positions at Yale, including Postdoctoral Associate in the labs of (the late) Dr. Frank Ruddle (MCDB), Dr. Rory McCrimmon and Dr. Robert Sherwin (Endocrinology), Associate Director for the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, Quality Improvement Analyst, and Director of Academic Operations at the School of Nursing before assuming the role of Senior Project Manager, Science & Research Initiatives, in Office of the Provost supporting the Wu Tsai Institute, in 2021. In addition, she enjoys mentoring, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her husband, Peter, their children, Jack and Penelope, and their rescue dogs, Hazel and Cora.
